And finally, after 3 years of being introduced to blogging, 2 years of being wheedled by my sister and friends, and a whole lot of attempts to denounce my technological illiteracy, I have finally embraced the idea of blogging. Needless to say, part of this motivation came from the nature of the assignment, as well as the stress of maintaining the fire in my body.
Blogs are just like diaries, with the HUGE difference that you are sharing your thoughts and opinions with the entire cyberspace population compared to stashing them away from others. There is definitely an enticing thrill in being able to have that freedom to shout and scream what you think to the whole of cyberspace, and I do admit that we all feel some sort of great attachment to our blogging freedom and rights, for they are just like our second voice box.
And let's dive in to my first post, dedicated to the chaotic yet exciting 3O2 Famiglia (italian for family). We're so combustible like oxygen (hence O2 *ahem*) that the slightest, supposedly ordinary event like a joke, uniform faux pas and a name, yes, a name, is liable to send us all into fits of shouting, laughter and more ribbing. As our dear Supreme Commander a.k.a form teacher Mr Kong always states, "oxygen is much stronger because it has double bond", we may have our fun, but we will stand up for each other in times of need.
Though I do feel that part of me doesn't fit well with 3O2 - no doubt to the more serious and studious side of me, and sometimes I really feel like shaking my head thinking, "Cant I deserve a minute of peace?" what with all the barking (I mean that literally), squawking (I mean that literally) and meowing (yes, I mean that literally) going on. Hearing the class burst into random and erratic shouts of J**** and not to mention feeling the vibe to stop studying and play is so strong, I even bring my personal chicken essence and motivational quote book occasionally.
I've always wondered that if 3O2 had a system of government, it would be this...
Absolute President/Ruler (Mr Kong)
Advisory Committee (CMC)
Anarchist/Opposition groups (Mao Gang, Log Gang and Fung Family)
I love and hate the fact that the class is so erratic as it reminds me of the crazy side which I never had and also serves a reminder for me to drag this class from the edges of complete insanity sometimes.
However, I personally believe that every one of has a Dying Will Flame, a flame born out of our deepest fears and regrets, to motivate us on. It is my choice and purpose, and I wholeheartedly accept that, to try and show a more serious and sensible side to the class and spur on the class to have the drive we lack in our weaker subjects. I almost lost my flame in secondary 2, but now that I'm here, I will ensure that this flame goes on forever, and I will try my best to light the way for others. For after all, all it takes is just one spark. 3O2 Famiglia, once a part, never apart.
